Hospital Medicine Residency Program for Advanced Practitioners

Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’ premier healthcare provider and home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School – Baystate, is seeking Acute Care Nurse Practitioners & Physician Assistants to join our organization.

Position Highlights –

• Receive intensive training to equip you for a fulfilling and successful career in hospital medicine. Gain specialized inpatient clinical experience taught by outstanding clinical educators in one of the country’s largest hospital medicine programs.
• Work and train alongside over 45 hospitalists and 15 experienced APPs in both our academic tertiary hospital, Baystate Medical Center, and our local community hospitals. You will see all levels of acuity and care for our diverse patient population.
• This intense 6 months of didactic and clinical training is designed to provide you with hand-on experience to prepare you to be fully competent in all domains necessary to safely care for our high acuity patients.
• Upon satisfactory completion of the 6-month training program, it is anticipated that you will move into a full-time permanent role on our Hospital Medicine team. We are eager to invest in you to continue growing our service and providing evidence-based patient-centered care to our community!

Baystate Medical Center (BMC) is a 716-bed independent academic medical center. BMC is our community's major referral hospital, providing the highest level of care for conditions such as cancer, acute and chronic cardiovascular illness, nervous system illness, digestive illness, and other diseases that affect the major organ systems of the body.
