Physician Assistant- Emergency Medicine

Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’ premier healthcare provider and home to the University of Massachusetts Medical School – Baystate, is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant to join our organization in western Massachusetts.

Position Highlights –

• Join our team of emergency medicine physicians and PAs in our state-of-the-art 20-bed ED at Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield MA.
• This is a part time position- approximately 20 hours/week. We also have per diem positions available.
• Our ED handle approximately 27,000 annual patient visits.
• APPs run the fast track from 9:30am-9:30pm and enjoy independent practice with mentorship available.
• Strong specialty support on site as well as at nearby Baystate Medical Center (BMC) in Springfield MA. BMC is our flagship academic hospital and level 1 trauma center.
• Strong local and organizational leadership means that you are well connected with our system-wide EM team to ensure great standards of care and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications: Board certification as a Physician Assistant. Due to the independent nature of this role, candidates must have 3+ years of experience in emergency medicine or urgent care.

Baystate Franklin Medical Center (BFMC), a 90-bed and 20 bassinet community hospital in Greenfield, MA, has been serving the health needs of area residents since 1895. Growing steadily, Baystate Franklin Medical Center has recently completed the expansion and renovation of its Emergency Department, Radiology, the Intensive Care Unit and medical-surgical areas, as well as new operating rooms.

The region is home to Greenfield Community College and excellent private schools such as Stoneleigh-Burnham School and Northfield Mount Hermon in nearby Gill, and Deerfield Academy in nearby Deerfield. Within 20 minutes of BFMC is an array of beautiful towns such as Greenfield, Conway, Deerfield, Amherst, Northampton. The Vermont and New Hampshire boarders are 20 minutes north, making Brattleboro VT and Keene NH easily commutable.
