Associate Chief Medical Officer, Division of Healthcare Quality

Position Highlights:

ADVANCED QUALITY PROGRAM. Administrative leadership for hospital-wide quality and patient safety programs, focusing efforts on processes which improve outcomes in quality, safety, and value of inpatient care at Baystate Medical Center. Work collaboratively with members of senior management and physician leaders to design and implement operational strategies and tactics to improve patient outcomes and safety.

CUTTING EDGE TECHNOLOGY. A Robust informatics system that creates a partnership of researchers, informatics and quality team to focus on continual improvements. We work together to design improvement efforts and streamline results toward an ideal state to learn from the care of EVERY patient.

LEADERSHIP AND NATIONAL RECOGNITION. Opportunity to lead a team of physicians and staff responsible for quality measurements, clinical process improvement, utilization management, and coaching for physicians in quality and safety. Continue to advance BMC as a national leader in healthcare quality!

MENTORSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES. A talented diverse group of population health and quality researchers dedicated to your success and development. Work with key leaders within Healthcare Quality including the senior director of quality, the Senior Director of Patient Safety, the VP for Operations Excellence, the Senior Director of Infection Control, and the Director of the Institute for Healthcare Delivery and Population Science as well the Chief Medical Information Officer and the I&T staff.

Candidates must be BC/BE, preferably in a hospital based specialty. Proven project work in quality and patient safety is required. Role modeling of exceptional clinical, teaching and communication skills in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment is expected.
