Pediatric Intensivist Faculty Opportunity
Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, three community hospitals and the region’s largest multispecialty group. Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate. We are seeking a Pediatric Intensivist to join our employed physician team at Baystate Children’s Hospital.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
· Baystate Children’s Hospital is the leading provider of general and specialty pediatric services in western MA. Our 107-bed facility houses the region’s only Pediatric ICU and Level III NICU, as well as pediatric inpatient services, a Pediatric Procedure Unit, a Pediatric ED and a pediatric transport team.
· Join our team of 5 pediatric intensivists who care for a diverse patient population up to 22 years of age with a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses.
· Direct transports of pediatric patients directly admitted to the Pediatric ICU.
· Provide sedation for children in our state-of-the-art Pediatric Procedure Unit
· Participate in clinical and QI research through affiliations with the Northeast PICU Consortium, PALISI Network and Solutions for Patient Safety.
· Educate residents and medical students in pediatric clinical care with a faculty appointment the UMass Chan Medical School-Baystate. Our onsite simulation center provides fully accredited world-class medical training facilities.
· Foster a culture of collaboration across service lines to care for critically ill patients regardless of their location within the hospital.
