Baystate Wing Hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission and is designated a Primary Stroke Service hospital by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
It was also recently recognized by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services as one of model hospitals promoting health and improving quality of life.
Together, the hospital and its community medical centers are focused on high quality patient-centered care delivered by physicians specializing in 45 medical disciplines, including adult family medicine, internal medicine, geriatric medicine OB/GYN, and pediatric medicine.

Hospitals receiving “GOLD” recognition have reached an aggressive goal of treating stroke patients with 85% or higher compliance to core standard levels of care outlined by the American Heart Association for 24 consecutive months. “Gold Plus” demonstrates at least 75% compliance with an additional 7-10 stroke quality measures.
