Pam is a transformational leader with 14 years’ of progressive experience in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining Baystate Health, Pam worked in a similar roles in The Southeast. In her current role, Pam provides a strategic approach to academic physician recruitment with an accompanying competitive spirit that thrives on successful hires for our diverse and collaborative academic institution. She currently serves as the Vice President of AIR (Academic In-house Recruiters) and serves as a member of the ASPR Benchmarking committee. Pam hails from East Tennessee and has maintained a strong allegiance to the University of Tennessee. Go Vols!
Melissa has been in the physician and advanced practitioner recruitment field at Baystate Health since 2007. As Manager in the department, Melissa works closely with leadership to advance the strategic recruitment goals of the system, provides support to team members, and leads searches and projects. Originally from western MA, Melissa is passionate about sharing her pride of the area and assisting candidates in their decision-making processes. Helping new providers achieve success professionally and personally is at the heart of her work.
Carmen has been with Baystate Health since 2008. She started in the Department of Medicine where she spent most of her time dedicated to the Hospital Medicine Program. In 2020, Carmen transitioned her role to become a physician and advanced practitioner recruiter. Originally from this area, Carmen is dedicated to Baystate and western MA and passionate about helping talented physicians & advanced practitioners learn more about joining Baystate Health.
Ariana Caradiaz is native of Springfield, MA. She received her bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management in 2013 and her MBA in Healthcare Leadership in 2015. Ariana has been in the healthcare field since 2009 and has held various roles at Baystate Health. Her experiences include working as a front line staff member on the Cardiac Unit, Bed Management and Talent Acquisition. As a Physician and Advanced Practitioner Recruiter, Ariana partners with leadership and service line team members to achieve their strategic recruitment goals. She is passionate about the patient experience, diversity and assisting in finding incredible providers to improve the health of our patients and community.
Linda has been a member of the Baystate Physician & APP Recruitment team since 2013. She currently recruits for the neurosciences service line and for all locum tenens physicians and APPs throughout the Baystate system. Prior to recruiting at Baystate, Linda worked in the fields of marketing and human resources in the power and financial service sectors in the Pioneer Valley, and originally Boston and New York. Linda holds a BA in History/French from Middlebury College. She is passionate about bringing the best providers to the Valley, and making their entire Baystate experience a pleasure. She is so proud that Baystate has been named by Forbes as a Best-in-State Employer in 2019.
Paige is a driven and energetic recruitment professional. She began her career in provider recruitment at WVU Medicine, an academic medical center and West Virginia’s largest healthcare provider, with a focus on surgical services, orthopaedics and pediatrics. She also spent time as a Provider Recruitment Coordinator at a community hospital in Northampton, MA, giving her diverse experience in both academic and community practice environments. Paige focuses on forming strong relationships within the organization to achieve department recruitment goals. She is passionate about building meaningful relationships with her candidates and their families, and is excited about positively impacting patient care at Baystate Health!
Carolynn Hartman is the Provider Onboarding Lead at Baystate Health. She is responsible for the onboarding of all employed physicians and advanced practitioners at Baystate Health. Carolynn has been in recruitment at Baystate since 2006 and in Physician and Advanced Practitioner Recruitment since 2012. She is a Certified Provider Recruitment Professional and an active member of AAPPR (Association for Advancing Physician and Provider Recruitment). She previously held several leadership positions in AAPPR’s Onboarding and Retention Chapter including secretary, vice president and president. In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with family and gardening.
Lindsay grew up in Texas and received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University. She has been in healthcare administration since 2006, leading full cycle provider recruitment programs for university, nonprofit, and for-profit healthcare systems. Gaining experience in these different healthcare delivery models has allowed Lindsay to become uniquely qualified to assist leaders with strategic planning and physicians in finding a practice that fits their needs. She believes that building great relationships with the providers she recruits as well as the service lines she supports is the foundation of any successful recruitment.
