Pamela Snyder

Pam is a transformational leader with over 20 years of progressive experience in the healthcare industry. She currently manages all recruitment functions for the organization including providers, leadership, individual contributor staff and temporary staff. Prior to joining Baystate Health, Pam worked in similar roles in the Southeast. Pam joined Baystate Health in 2013 as interim senior director of Physician and Advanced Practice Provider Recruitment, and currently serves as Vice President, Talent, Baystate Health. Pam has proven herself to be an innovative and effective leader, beginning with her work in Provider Recruitment leading to a sustained provider vacancy rate lower than the national average. Among her key accomplishments in this area, Pam developed a competency-based recruitment tool designed to mitigate the role unconscious bias plays in candidate selection. She has gone on to teach the principles of inclusive recruitment in the Physician Leadership Academy and nationally at the MGMA and AAPPR conferences. Pam provides a strategic approach to recruitment with an accompanying competitive spirit that thrives on successful hires for our diverse and collaborative academic institution. Pam hails from East Tennessee and has maintains a strong allegiance to the University of Tennessee Volunteers.

Beth Fox

Beth started her career Baystate in 2016 as a Senior Provider Recruiter in Physician and APP recruitment where she managed difficult-to-fill specialties within Primary Care and Heart and Vascular service lines and was promoted to Manager of Talent Acquisition in 2019. During her tenure at Baystate, Beth has managed recruitment for hard to fill roles in the organization and has been instrumental in standardizing work for the recruitment team, focused the recruitment process on optimizing sourcing avenues and has led the team to a consecutive increase in nurse recruitment for several consecutive years. Beth has presented regionally on sourcing methods for physician recruitment and co-leads the Nursing Workforce Strategy group. Beth has an extensive background of work in recruitment and HR in healthcare organizations throughout the New England area.


Ariana Caradiaz
MBA, CPRP- Senior Recruiter

Ariana Caradiaz is native of Springfield, MA. She received her bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management in 2013 and her MBA in Healthcare Leadership in 2015. Ariana has been in the healthcare field since 2009 and has held various roles at Baystate Health. Her experiences include working as a front line staff member on the Cardiac Unit, Bed Management and Talent Acquisition. As a Physician and Advanced Practitioner Recruiter, Ariana partners with leadership and service line team members to achieve their strategic recruitment goals. She is passionate about the patient experience, diversity and assisting in finding incredible providers to improve the health of our patients and community.


Andrew Gabel

Andrew was born and raised just over the state line in Connecticut. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Keene State College in 2011. He has been in the healthcare recruitment business since 2013 and has experience in Locum Tenens recruitment of physicians and APPs across all specialties, as well as interim and permanent healthcare leadership recruitment. Andrew joined the Provider Recruitment team at Baystate in 2021.  He values strong working relationships across the organization to help his service lines and he is passionate about bringing the best providers to our region.


Carolynn Hartman

Carolynn Hartman is the Provider Onboarding Lead at Baystate Health. She is responsible for the onboarding of all employed physicians and advanced practitioners at Baystate Health. Carolynn has been in recruitment at Baystate since 2006 and in Physician and Advanced Practitioner Recruitment since 2012. She is a Certified Provider Recruitment Professional and an active member of AAPPR (Association for Advancing Physician and Provider Recruitment). She previously held several leadership positions in AAPPR’s Onboarding and Retention Chapter including secretary, vice president and president. In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with family and gardening.


Carmen Sanderson
MBA, CPRP- Recruiter

Carmen has been with Baystate Health since 2008. She started in the Department of Medicine where she spent most of her time dedicated to the Hospital Medicine Program. In 2020, Carmen transitioned her role to become a physician and advanced practitioner recruiter. Originally from this area, Carmen is dedicated to Baystate and western MA and passionate about helping talented physicians & advanced practitioners learn more about joining Baystate Health.


Melissa Hale
Senior Recruiter

Melissa has been in the physician and advanced practitioner recruitment field at Baystate Health since 2007. As Manager in the department, Melissa works closely with leadership to advance the strategic recruitment goals of the system, provides support to team members, and leads searches and projects. Originally from western MA, Melissa is passionate about sharing her pride of the area and assisting candidates in their decision-making processes. Helping new providers achieve success professionally and personally is at the heart of her work.


Lindsay Waters

Lindsay grew up in Texas and received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University. She has been in healthcare administration since 2006, leading full cycle provider recruitment programs for university, nonprofit, and for-profit healthcare systems. Gaining experience in these different healthcare delivery models has allowed Lindsay to become uniquely qualified to assist leaders with strategic planning and physicians in finding a practice that fits their needs. She believes that building great relationships with the providers she recruits as well as the service lines she supports is the foundation of any successful recruitment.

Riley Donovan
Recruitment & Sourcing Associate

Riley grew up in West Springfield, MA. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Management in 2021 at Stonehill College. Riley joined the recruitment team at Baystate in 2022 in the role of Recruitment & Sourcing Specialist. She assists recruiters in developing and implementing innovative sourcing plans and works with providers throughout their onboarding. In her personal time Riley enjoys spending time with her family and pets and traveling to Cape Cod every summer.
