Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Opportunity
Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’ premier healthcare provider and home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School – Baystate, is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our organization.
Position Highlights –
• Partner with our emergency medicine team at Baystate Medical Center (BMC) in Springfield MA to provide evidence-based psychiatric care to patients in our Emergency Department.
• Evaluate and stabilize patients with psychiatric emergencies. Provide treatment and care coordination for patients with prolonged stays in our 6-bed psychiatric observation unit. Work closely with care partners to ensure smooth transitions to APTU or outpatient care.
• Collaborate closely with a robust team of psychiatry and emergency medicine providers and support staff. Outstanding specialty support is always available. Work closely with attendings as well as psychiatry and emergency medicine residents.
• BMC is home to one of the busiest EDs on the East Coast, providing care for over 122,000 adult and pediatric patients annually. Equipped with 94 private rooms, a separate pediatric ED, and top-of-the-line technology, our multi-specialty and multi-disciplinary team provides the highest quality patient care to our community.
• This is a full-time position with 10-hour and 12-hour shifts. No call. Per diem hours are also available.
