Baystate Health is seeking an Advanced Provider (AP) to join our multispecialty group as an APP Flex. This is a hybrid position involving a balanced combination of remote and onsite responsibilities. The Ideal AP will assume the responsibility of providing coverage across multiple sites within the Western region with a primary emphasis in Westfield and Feeding Hills

Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, three community hospitals and the region’s largest multispecialty group

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
• Hybrid – Remote position; 50% remote and 50% onsite at various locations as needed to support the site’s operational demands
• Covering for planned and unplanned Provider absences
• Covering indirect work within provider in basket folders including but not limited to; patient gateway messages, telephone calls, urgent refills, urgent or critical results, CC’d charts and other folders as time allows
• Telephone calls can range from routine to emergent and may require prescription writing, lab or radiology ordering and interaction with PCP or covering MD as needed for clinical support.
• The AP will place orders for testing, vaccines, referrals, or refills as necessary based on patient request if appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will be a board-certified or board-eligible Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a minimum 3 years’ experience in a primary care or specialty setting. Strong commitment to working with our underserved community and comfortable with medically complex patients and the ability to function well as part of a medical team is essential
