Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, children’s hospital, three community hospitals and the region’s largest multispecialty group. Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
• Provide clinical and academic leadership of our well-established division in the Dept. of Pediatrics at UMass Chan Medical School-Baystate.
• Lead operations for our inpatient consult service at Baystate Children’s Hospital, our 107-bed facility including the region’s only PICU and level III NICU, as well as ambulatory services at nearby Baystate Children’s Specialty Center.
• Partner with the Dept. of Neurology at Boston Children’s Hospital to provide call coverage for nights & weekends for general neurology and EEG readings from the NICU for 1 week in 3.
• Academic leadership includes oversight of medical education (pediatric and med-peds residents, 3rd and 4th year medical students), cultivation and facilitation of innovative clinical research and QI with local and/or regional collaborators, faculty development and contributions to the department’s and hospital’s vision and mission.
• Inpatient consult service and call at nights/weekends 1 week in 3.
• Faculty appointment at UMass Chan Medical School- Baystate (preferably Associate Professor or higher)
• Qualifications:
o ABPN BC child neurology, certification in epilepsy desired but not required.
o Experience post-training with interest in management and leadership. Experience in limited leadership is desired. Emerging leaders encouraged to apply.
