Baystate Health is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to join our FNP Residency Program, designed to support the transition of new graduate nurse practitioners to primary care providers at High Street Adult Health Center in Springfield, MA.
Key components of the position:
•ENHANCED READINESS FOR INDEPENDENT PRACTICE. 1 year of structured, full time, salaried/benefitted training. Mentored clinical sessions. Specialty rotations, with a focus in Women’s Health and Pediatrics. Didactic sessions in conjunction with other new graduate APs throughout Baystate. Quality Improvement training/project. Immersion in ACO-model care delivery in high performing, team-based health center
•A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE. Exciting opportunity to be part of the infrastructure and development and of a new program. FNP residents will be encouraged to give feedback and participate in their own career advancement. Peer to peer – supported clinical practice.
•AN OPPORTUNITY TO WORK IN A NCQA LEVEL III PATIENT CENTERED MEDICAL HOME that is nationally recognized for its work in Academic Innovation, Patient Access, Highly Reliable Systems and Top Tier Quality.
•WORK LIFE BALANCE. Adequate and manageable panel size within a team based care delivery model. Monday through Friday, no call.
Baystate Health is increasingly focusing on the role of the AP provider. Two years ago we hired our first AP Director and now have 13 AP supervisors working to support APs throughout the system. With increased focus on AP practice overall, Baystate Health is an organization committed to full incorporation of APs. The FNP residency at High Street Adult joins an inpatient NP and ER PA residency.

Candidates must have graduated from an accredited MSN or DNP program in the past 24 months, be certified of board eligible as Family Nurse Practitioner, and have a stated commitment to pursuing a career in community health. Spanish bilingual preferred.
