Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, Children’s Hospital, three community hospitals and the region’s largest multispecialty group. Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
• Join our Heart & Vascular team where you will provide general cardiology services at Baystate Medical Center and our outpatient clinics in Springfield or Longmeadow.
• This full-time position involves 8-hour day shifts, primarily Monday through Friday. No nights or call. Weekend and holiday coverage is 1:5 with appropriate schedule adjustments the following week.
• The position is split between alternating outpatient clinic and inpatient blocks, typically 1 week at a time. When inpatient, you will round with attendings, residents and fellows to assess and manage patients and handle discharges. In clinic you will manage common cardiology conditions, order and interpret diagnostics, and see patients for follow up visits (post-hospital, symptom management, etc).
• Work collaboratively with our team of cardiologists, sub-specialists, APPs, nurses, and support staff to provide patient-centered coordination of care. Participate in quality/safety initiatives and standardized care pathways.
• Excellent professional development offered through our Cardiology Lecture Series, APP Grand Rounds and lectures, and Cardiology Grand Rounds. Our experienced team can provide outstanding mentorship.
• Qualifications: Board certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Minimum of 1 year experience in cardiology at an advanced practice level.

Compensation: The compensation ranges in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

Base Salary range:
$130,500-165,300
