Baystate Health, a Watson® Award–winning healthcare system and home of the University of Massachusetts Medical School-Baystate, is seeking a Non-invasive Cardiologist to join Baystate Health’s growing and award winning Heart & Vascular Program in Northampton, MA.
Position Highlights
-A ROBUST PROGRAM. A well-established, consultative cardiology group in a large, multi-specialty practice. Fully staffed with 4 physicians, RNs, MAs and a Nurse Manager. New outpatient facility, designed to optimize flow and patient satisfaction. Integrated system which ensures that we deliver state of the art care to our communities across the valley.
-WORK LIFE BALANCE. Call schedule conducive to work life balance. Protected time for ECHO and NUCLEAR readings. In the heart of the five colleges of the valley a highly educated, appreciative and compliant patient population.
-HIGH VOLUME. Large and loyal primary care referral base. Outpatient and Inpatient consultative practice
-COLLABORATION. A large, collegial group of cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, electrophysiologists, cardiac anesthesiologists, radiologists and vascular surgeons dedicated to your success and patient centered excellence.

Qualifications: Sample - Qualified applicants will be ABMS BE/BC in cardiology, 5+ years of experience preferred and an understanding for what it takes to be a successful community based consultant. Will consider new grads.

Baystate Franklin Medical Center (BFMC), a 90-bed and 20 bassinet community hospital in Greenfield, MA, has been serving the health needs of area residents since 1895. Growing steadily, Baystate Franklin Medical Center has recently completed the expansion and renovation of its Emergency Department, Radiology, the Intensive Care Unit and medical-surgical areas, as well as new operating rooms.
BFMC also received “A” grades from Leapfrog Group on its Hospital Safety Score and earned a Get With The Guidelines®—Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association.
Quality of Life
Known for its charming, locally owned shops on Main Street and easy access to Interstate 91, Greenfield is a midsized city (population 17,400) with affordable historic houses and a booming arts community. Greenfield has been a center for environmental activity, with many area residents advocating for clean energy, locally grown food and sustainable communities. The region is home to Greenfield Community College and excellent private schools such as Stoneleigh-Burnham School and Northfield Mount Hermon in nearby Gill, and Deerfield Academy in nearby Deerfield. Within 20 minutes of BFMC is an array of beautiful towns such as Greenfield, Conway, Deerfield, Amherst, Northampton. The Vermont and New Hampshire boarders are 20 minutes north, making Brattleboro VT and Keene NH easily commutable.
